Western Maryland Scenic Railroad 1309 shoves a freight train out of the West Portal of Brush Tunnel. WMSR 1309 was constructed for the Chesapeake and Ohio Railroad in 1949 and was the last Baldwin Locomotive ever built. It is currently the second largest steam locomotive currently operating (next to the Union Pacific Big Boy), and is the largest in regular service. C&O 1309 was totally rebuilt to operation from 2014-2021 and made its first debut in 2021 since its retirement in 1956.
