Amtrak's Pennsylvanian, train 43, travels through the Conemaugh Gap near Johnstown, PA on the bank of the Conemaugh River. The Conemaugh Gap is the deepest gorge in the Eastern United States at 1350 ft. The gorge was formed over millions of years by the Conemaugh River.
